In the beginning of the 90's Attila Molnar aka Stealth aka Mastif from Veszprem, Hungary was listening to death metal, grindcore and stuffs like that and appeared metal bands as a singer. Around 1998 he discovered a brand new and fresh style of music what was called drum'n'bass. Among other things Roni Size's New Forms can be named as an inspiration of that time. With Size Nine from Veszprem also founded the Destroyerz brigade and became one of the first dj's playing the harder side of drum'n'bass in Hungary (their sound can be characterized with depressive spirit of the early industrial Hardware, Tech Itch and Audio Couture stuffs). From 2000 Destroyerz became the member of Bladerunnaz (the biggest Hungarian promoter group) and playing with all the best and well-known dj's like Andy C, Tech Itch, Dylan, Friction, Die, Twisted Individual, Counterstrike, Bad Company, Universal Project, Hive, Keaton, Loxy, Ink, Dom and Roland, Spl just to name a few. Mastif began writing music around 2000, skinny and funereal pieces were born under the alias of Troops Of Doom. The Undead and The Event Horizon arised around 2004 and finally come out on Black Hoe! Nowadays Mastif's favourite producers are Universal Project, Vicious Circle, Loxy and Ink and the new Horsemen brigade and Digital and Spirit. He is collaborating with Mindscape assiduously (Minefield was released on Citrus, Hijacker is signed up for DSCI4).
During the 80’s digital revolution, Andrew began to discover that computers & synthesizers were a more natural and efficient way to express himself. He began programming an early digital Yamaha synthesizer and by the year 1985 computers and the possibilities of creative technology had captured his imagination.
For a number of years under the alias Code Blue Andrew produced scary drum and bass with several releases recognized around the world and most notably, his latest entitled Graveyard Twist and Headstone Shuffle that relaunched the legendary German label Position Chrome. Andrew has forthcoming releases planned on Position Chrome as well as a much anticipated release of Apocalyptica on Black Hoe Recordings in July 2008.
Recently Andrew has been branching out with the electro rock sounds under the alias Supercycle and has been turning a lot of heads by his unique groundbreaking gritty production and has caught the attention of Canadian’s Mstrkft.
Andrew was chosen to participate in the 2007 Guild Of Film composers gcfc.ca mentorship program, where he completed his mentorship under Vancouver based composer Terry Frewer.
Andrew is capable of bringing imagination to life in a way that makes what has been traditionally viewed as sounding un-natural or electronic sound organic and more human than human.
“Some decisions in life require no thinking. Some things are meant to be. Obstacles are there only to overcome… Conductor of the machine guns symphonic orchestra, performing to droids in the constructions factory gothic underground cathedral, a play dedicated to everything unholy and destructive on this earth.”
Begun as a raver back in 1992 with techno and breaks. He was firstly influenced by Prodigy, Acen, Messiah, DJ Hype and more. The dark times of 1997, drew his attention to Drum & Bass. In 1999 he started as a DJ as an amateur at local parties and at the same time worked as an employee at a local record store. Music was a part of his day life.
He started music production in 2002 with amateur equipment. Now uses “the holy trinity”, Cubase, Reason, Wavelab, which haunts his project studio. His music is mostly dark, hard and fast, constantly alternating from notorious landscapes to tech dance-floor sound and vice versa.
In 2004 he gets announced “drum n bass producer of the year” in the “Unofficial Greek Drum n Bass Awards”, and at that time, more active than ever, sets up the “Nation Of Distortion Crew”, a crew devoted to underground electronic music with greater cause to organize the hardest electronic dance gigs in Greece. At the same time he started podcasting in net radio shows.
After the first releases, he drew the attention of various labels, always dedicated to underground electronic dance. More releases brought bookings and since 2007 he has had several international acts as an opening act for artists similar to his sound, as Evol Intent, Ewun. Spor, Enduser, and more. In September 2007, Knowledge Magazine includes two of his tunes in the included mix disc, and in May 2008 Soundmaker Magazine publishes a full interview of him and Lowbss, vocalist of every lyric in his tunes.
Currently, he is working on new ideas and projects and performing worldwide to spread his music, his perspective, his way.
Clawing there way through the underground scene this ferocious duo with there twisted and aggressive beats have shown that they are a presence that can't be ignored. Playing at events alongside heavy weights such as EVOL INTENT, THE PANACEA, DYLAN, RAIDEN, VICIOUS CIRCLE, ZUBCORE and countless local heroes they have grounded themselves in the growing trend of darn and sick drum and bass that is taking hold across the globe.
